Sup guys!
Im new to DSM's so im asking this for a friend..im more familar with hondas hence my screenname...but anyways...
My friend is wanting to put a turbo on his 95 RS...The car has aruond 80k...I was thinking 80k is a little to much to put a turbo on..but what do yo guys think...We also thought about buyin another rs/gs engine and turboing it...If he decides to go turbo what should he do to prepare his engine...

do a compression test. that will tell you a lot

175-225...with little variation b/t the cylindrs (like no more than 10-15% difference b/t the highest and lowest reading)

I got a 95 with about 80K on it and I'm turbo'd. Things have gone perfectly so far. I know of at least one person here with over 100K that have been turbo'd much longer than I have with lots of success. If the compression numbers turn out well, then don't sweat it, you'll be fine as long as you tune it right.

yes do the compression test, haha I got a 95 RS and it's already turboe'd and it's at 90k right now. It's got around 170 compression though.
