#13304, "Does this sound too ghettho to rig up my Greddy Type S?"

My cousin just blew his motor in his turboed civic si, so he's like fuhget about it, returned his engine back to stock, and is selling his turbo kit this week to some kid, he had a greddy type s bov and he's willing to let me have it for free, just give him my old 1st gen bov. SO all this time, i've been thinking that the first gen flange and the greddy type s is the same: WRONG.

The 1 gen flange is like so: -o--( )--o-
while the greddy typs s is : -o-( )-o-

The lines indicate the length and the "o" indicates the holes for the screws. The ( ) indicates the size of the hole

So I CAN"T switch flanges becausethe hole for the greddy type s is HUGE and to cut off that flange and replace it with my 1st gen flange would be futile, seeing it would not cover the hole completely, SO I DID THIS

Basically I took the Greddy Type S BOV and where the holes were on the BOV, I drilled and tap some new ones in my 1st gen flange, everyone get this so far??

Than I took the 1st gen BOV, and drilled new holes on the 1st gen bov to match the flange of the Greddy Type S.

Everyone get this?? I hope somebody does cause I'm getting confused.
Basically, I'm asking will I be leaking you think? Let me know as I'm going to put my piping back in my car tomorrow and see. ARGH!, this car needs to go NOW!

Why not just buy the right flange? They cost like 6 bucks from RRE.

Since you've already done the work.. just seal it up with some RTV when you put the Greddy BOV on. Should work alright... If not.. cut the hacked flange off and get the right one from RRE and have it welded on.

Of course, I knew Dino was going to help me answer this one, He always does, Thanks again guys, yeah, I was thinking about buying a new flange but that was not an option at the time because my 1st gen had to be on his uic piping b4 today, well I"m off to buy some rtv sealant and some bolts, let's hope for me huh?
