ok i just bought a used star kit stage 2. i know the kid and i know its in good shape, but he has a 95 and i have a 96. hence the obvious, what do i need for my fuel system? i don;t want to run 20 lbs and make 800 hp...all i want is like 7-8 lbs of boost with as little trouble possible. so...

1. what ratio fmu do i need?

2. vc-1 or vc-2...and if 2 what voltage.

3. what do i need to do with the fuel pump.
as far as i know i'm not getting one so can i use my old one, or if i have to get a new one can it be inline or something easy?...(heard a lot of horror stories with getting old ones off)

well lemme know what u guys think i should do, i just want this to go on and work, i'm not into calculations for fuel stuff yet...there's a lot of things to consider, i just wanna know what will get my by safely. thanks for your help and you guys are the greatest, way smarter than sata emoji

First, make sure all of the parts are there. Like oil pan fittings, oil lines, pipes, pipe connectors, FMU. Get a mechanical fuel pressure gauge if you don't have one.

>1. what ratio fmu do i need?
Depends on what boost you run. At least on the HRC kit, 9 psi take a higher gain disk than 6 psi.

>2. vc-1 or vc-2...and if 2 what voltage.

You'll definitely need one of these. I have a '95, so I can't comment much. I believe that anything over 4.7V should trigger a CEL.

If you just have a stock pump, that will not be good enough. A $125 Walbro 255 lph Hi-press can easily do 6 psi boost. For 9 psi boost, I would suggest a higher performance pump like the HRC inline model (coupled with your stock one). I didn't have any trouble replacing my in-tank pump...but I have heard stories from 1G owners.

Sometimes I think that Satan exclusively hires people that have been fired from Burgerking for negligence.
