Hey guys, this problem just started today. Well, normally when I start my car up, it turns for less than a second then starts. Today I started it and it turned for about 3 seconds before finally catching (I've had the turbokit on for about a week and it's been perfectly fine all this time until now). I have a HRC Stage 2 kit with a sidemount IC running 5 psi. I'm still in the breakin period. Well, that's not all that's weird...I was driving at 70 on the freeway and got off on an exit and shifted to neutral, normally my RPMs go down to 1 grand or so, but when I shifted this one time they stayed at 2 1/2 grand (it did it this morning too). Also my fuel pump was sounding weird for about a minute. It made "WEE ooh WEE oooh" sounds (the wee = normal sound of HRC fuel pump and woo is a lower tone. That's the best I can describe it). My dad said we have REALLY high humidity tonight....like 93% (for Nevada that's a FUCKIN' lot!) and he said that may be it, plus it's kinda cold he also said the fuel pump may be bad or sensors may be going bad, etc. Other than those problems the few times I've had them, the car has been/is running perfectly (runs fine, idles correctly, etc.). I got no error codes from the engine after doing the key dance. Anyone have a fricken clue what is going on? Thanks for your help!

how old is your battery? It could be time for a new one(maybe) Or could have been a little air in the fuel line.

have em check it (battery) at an auto store. then u will know if u need a new one.

Just replace it. The stock batterys are only good for a few years and you've had yours 5 already. Even if that don't fix your problem, you'll need one anyway.

I have the same setup, same symptoms but they never bothered me, so maybe yours are worse.

- Weird sound: happens when im low on fuel and it sloshes around. Also sometimes when the turn signal is on, or AC compressor turns on, voltage changes make fuel pump make diff. noises.

- Trouble starting: Let the FP prime and turn off, then immediately turn the key and give it a little gas. If it doesn't start in 2 secs or so, stop and try it again. Mine always catches immediately the 2nd time. Just gotta get some fuel press. in those lines.

Q: How do you know when a car has an HRC kit?
A: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Thanks for your help guys. My car seems to be running perfectly today. Maybe it was just a freak thing those 2 or so times. I just wanted to make sure my car didn't blow up or something. LoL. Well, the only thing left to be solved is the RPM dillema. It only happened 2ce yesterday, but it was really weird. Just to refresh memories, I was at 70 mph getting off the freeway and shifted into neutral. The RPMs went down to 2 1/2 grand and stayed there instead of going down to one grand or so. Anyway, thanks everyone for all the help so far!

When someone first turbos their car you usually feel scared about any little thing. Its normal to feel that way. When I first ut my turbo on I was always listening to any weird sound. Now after about 7 months of boosting I dont really worry about things as much.

Yeah, its probably a normal thing with slight paranoia. I don't have a turbo yet and I sometimes sort of have the same deal. Its sluggish to start and then runs kinda rough for a couple of seconds. I've also noticed its directly attributed to the humidity and coldness. Prolly just some water in the ignition system somewhere.
