i have the blitz FATT DC in my avenger, and the 4g63 harness. all the dsm cars use the same ignition piece, thats why the harness works in all our cars.

just pop the trim piece off the bottom of the steering wheel column. the harness plugs right into the ignition (where u put the key in emoji )

Well I looked and there is the ignition harness that plugs right into the back of the little silver cylinder type thing (where you put the key emoji ) and that harness clip is longer and more slim than the Blitz harness clip.

Is it possible that there are diff harnesses??

are there diff types of harnesses???
I got the one from machv

I just went out and looked again and nothing matches up???

the one I have looks like this

a blue clip, some wires, another blue clip
in the middle of those two some other wires are tee'd off to a white clip with three pins in it and then there is one white single wire at the point of the three pin clip which goes into the harness that comes with the TT

I believe the color of the harness you looking for is blue. On the lower left of the steering column.

look at the silver piece, the ignition. follow it to the left (driver side=left) of the steering column. thats where the ignition harness is. thats where the timer harness goes.

the harness is like a V shape, the point of the V goes into the igntion, the stock piping goes in one leg and the other leg goes to the timer.

hold up...ill go take the trim off and snap a couple pics...just a sec..

ok I think I got it now..
I will check it out tomorrow at work.
one more Q at the "V" or the point that goes into the ignition, did yours have an extra single white wire with I think a female conector on it?

Where does that single white wire go???

Thanks for all the help Ryan, I know I am making a small and simple install a big deal but I just couldn't find a damn plug that the harness would fit into.

now you can help me with all my other issues hehehe

i had that extra single wire too, cept mine was purple i think, but with that metal female pin. i didnt hook it up to anything, everything works fine tho.

I have no idea what that wire goes to, maybe for some extra feature or something, i dunno, but the timer works fine without it connected to anything

Ok i have the blitz Harness the one I had to pay 25 for.
looks like the V shape.
then I have the one that came with the timer, it has two ends on it and then two single blk ground wires.

Did You use both of the harnesses??

also you know what really sucks.........
The reason I am having suck a hard time hooking this up is I just found some wires from the ignition that have been cut, and retaped together with and extra wire coming out of it going to an aftermarket alarm.
So there is tape where the plugs I am looking for are supposed to be!!!!!!!!

What do I do now?
I know I have to hard wire it but which wire goes to which?

The wires coming out of the ignition that are cut and retaped are one thick white wire, one a little more slim that is blk and red and then one that is blk and white...

Can someone help me do this part??

the harness with the timer plugs into the TT brain. the extra harness plugs into the ignition and then into the the harness from the TT.

regardless of spliced wires, they plug into the ignition w/ the same plug. just unplug the stock wiring and plug in the TT harness into the ignition. the the stock plug goes into one leg of the V and the other leg goes to the timer.

if you have an aftermarket alarm, you wont be able to use both, unless u can come up with something. your alarm will disable the timer as soon as you pull the key out or set the alarm.

That is the problem I can figure out how the wiring goes but the stock plug for the ignition that you plug the Blitz harness into is gone. It is just taped with electrical tape.
because they cut it off when they put in the alarm. (whoever had it before)

So I am going to have to cut the ends off of the blitz harness and wire them together I guess.

hey it wouldn't make a diff cause I have a 5spd would it???
Cause the clutch has to be engadged for start, there has to be some kind of wire going to the ignition for that right and that would be diff. from yours????

should still be the same, the clutch having to be engaged is a mechanical system, dont think it tied into the ignition electrically in any way. could be wrong tho.

what i dont get it, that stock plug still has to be there. they have to connect the wires to the ignition some how, they wouldnt crack up the ignition to hard wire it. the white plug HAS to still be there regardless of what wires are spliced in on the other side.

do u have access to a digital camera? snap a pic like the ones i took

the connection circled is the one ur looking for

pull that plug out, and pop in the timer harness

oh ok yeah I do still have that one there but it is bigger than all the connectors on any of the harness I have for blitz.
Nothing under my steering wheel trim pieces match up to any of the connectors on the blitz harness.

That extra wire may be for an aftermaket alarm sensor bypass, just a thought. The alarm I got has a wire for things like a engine fan sensor because some cars have the fan kick on by itself in case the engine gets too hot sitting in the sun, I would think if this extra wire on your harness is for something like that then you shouldnt have an issue with the alarm.

Also some alarms have current sensing circuitry meaning if the alarm senses current when it arms then it will not arm that zone till the current drain is no longer present..... just some things to things to think about..

#12705, "RE: Blitz FATT Turno Timer"
In response to Reply # 25

I have th greddy new turbo timer and wiring harness in my car. plugs right in. the 2 extra wires from the blitz are alarm triggers. one is for park brake release (brown) and one is for speedometer (purple if I remember correctly). greddy uses basically th esame uint wihtth esame wire colors and re-badges it. th eharnes is simple plug and play. takes about 7 mins. if it wasnt' snowing, I could do it in that ammount of time. it will be the same on yoru car becasue we both have ES 5 spd avengers (which has the same wire configuration as all 2g dsm's)

bring it on............
