well i got my afc installed, but not the 440's. I was going to put in the 440's but the intake manifold would have to come off and i dnd't have any new gaskets for it. So I did'nt get to tune my car.
So to all you ppl who already have 440 up and running, did you just put then in and let the car run super rich while you tuned it? cause i figure they'd be dunping a crap load of fuel in untill you got them adjusted right.
I've read thru the setting up guide on the mods page, but i want to get some numbers from ppl with 440's and some advide on tuning it. I plan on taking it to wyatt's shop after i get it rebuit and having him fine tune it on his dyno, but i'll need to get it set up pretty good before i go (since it's a long ass drive from my house)
Would it be ok if i just set up the "low" setting and didint go past 50% so the "hi" would'nt kick in (this is just so can drive it to get it tuned properly)
I know on the guide it said that the "hi" would be about 2% more than the low in each rpm up till like 5000, dose this hold true for most?? Thats why i'm looking form ppl's numbers with 440's to see if there a patteren between the hi and low and so i will have an idea when i set mine up in a month

Skim over the fuel related pages there. I talk about fuel pressure and AFC settings a little. The equations won't give perfect real world results, but it is a starting point. As a reference, I was running 26 psi fuel pressure and -40% at idle (full vacuum). That gave me the exact right amount of fuel all the way up to 0 boost. I verified it with my datalogger.

I didn't know i had to remove the stock fuel pressure regulator...
It's by the tank right, and what's all is involved in taking it out? This is somthing that is a must?? So Who here has done this? I need info ppl

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but you don't HAVE to remove it.Personally I have mine inline w/ the stock one.I think removing it would be best though,Especially if you have an adjustable one.

You only remove the stock regulator if you want to run an idle fuel pressure that is lower than stock (~50 psi). If you have big injectors, you will definitely want to lower your fuel pressure.

Say if I have a 4:1 FMU,what would my idle pressure be?I'm interested but sorta confused.

So with the 440's, 4:1 fmu, and afc i'd still have to remove it even with the afc at -50% at idel to get it to idel right??
