i got a 99gs with the hrc stage 2 kit. recently my mechanic has to remove the engine etc to change my valves. to make it short we have a loose vacuum hose ( black hose ) near the intake manifold next to the map sensor and in between that and the fpr. we can not seem to find where it hooks into? its also a pretty big vacuum hose. also my alternator and ps belt broke is it ok to drive it like that for a short time? because we had to, to move the car.
thanks

well, i dont know where the hose goes, but when u drive without an alternator, you are putting too much stress on the battery. steering will be hard, but not cause any problems.

Are you talking about the vacuum hose that goes all the way to the TB? Also, you need the alternator to charge the battery while you are driving. Without it the battery won't last.

It could either be to your fpr itself or possibly your egr.

thanks guys, i'll take a look at where that hose goes later it was pretty dark when we were trying to figure out where that hose goes to but we shall check it out today. i was thinking it could be a vacuum that connects to the side of the intake manifold but ill check it out. the hose that is loose is pretty short also give or take 3-4 inchs long. if it where the egr where would it be located on that side? if it where my stock hrc fpr where would that vacuum connect be ? at the bottom of the fpr?...
ill let you guys know
thanks
