#12457, "screeching noise??"

Tonight i made a quick run down the street in front of my house. i let it warm up, then made a quick run one way, then a quick run back (prolly 1/8 mile or so each way). i came down my street, and right as i turned into my driveway, the most god awful screeching started.

sounds like belt screeching but its LOUD. turned the car off, came back out a lil later and started the car and it was still screeching like that. i tried just reving a lil bit and it changes pitch with revs (even tho i barely revved it)

could the timing belt screech like that? the belt is still in good condition.

the other belts dont appear to be off-track and the feel just as tight as before, and it screeches like crazy even just idling.

ideas? anyone had this happen?

also, im not getting any engine codes

tighten the belts. maybe the locking bolts came loose, and when the car is on and the pulleys are rotating, they are loosing tension.

go through the top, remove the throttle cable assembly (i think its that) then you can easily get to it with a box end wrench and socket set. its not too hard
