Ok the blow by that I was getting before went into my intake track cause that is how we had it plumbed. Now I know that I have oil in the air filter and I also know that I probably ave oil in the intercooler. I was wondering what is the best way to 1) clean the airfilter and 2) clean the intercooler. I know that there have been post about the intercooler before but I couldnt find them. I think it was Brad that had the same problem. What did you finally decide bro? Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks,
Thomas.

to clean the insie of the intercooler, I'd rinse it through with gasoline or ethanol, neither will not adversely affect combustion if there is any remaining liquid

LAST EDITED ON 30-Oct-01 AT 07:33 PM (PST)

Shit, sorry i missed this. I didnt catch it till just now. Yeah, gasoline was suggested. I just took my FMIC out earlier in the week actually cause I am having the end tanks either polished or powdercoated dunno which way I'm going yet, but I cleaned my IC out again for shits and giggles. What I did this time was capped off the IC inlet or outlet whatever, and set that side down and the other side up, then I filled to IC completely with a mixture of about 5 cans of TB cleaner and topped it off with some cans of octane booster that I'll never use again cause octane boost is so horrible on those expensive damn o2 sensors... Anyways, I left it over night and dumped it out the next day, still came out black as hell so I guess I didnt do too good of a job last time, I think I'll do it a few more times, maby with paint thinner this time, until I finally pour it out and its the same color as when it went in, lol. Anything strong chemicals like that would probably work I suppose, but gas, alcohol, octane booster, paint thinner, throttle body cleaner, etc... come to mind.
