Let me know if you ever figure it out how to cure that problem. I have that problem a year after I install the turbo kit. It is something to do with the pressure in the fuel tank. Please e-mail me at onyo712@aol.com. I quit trying to fix that. If you have any other way please e-mail me back... thank you very much and good luck on your quest!

Well i made an appointment at the dealer. Hopefully it will be covered under warantee (dought it though) But from talking to the service manager, the most common cause is due to the gas cap going bad and not sealing. If thats not it then theres another leak in the fuel. Which the car picks up as evaporation.
But i smell fuel sometime (not good) so i bet 10-1 i have a fuel leak) probably somthing to do with the fmu, the stud i brok on the gas tank, or the line i had t'd into when i was running nos.
I'll keep ya posted

I have a theory on this i've been meaning to bring up. It occurred to me a while back, becuase i've heard of the same thing happening with EGR systems..

The EVAP system is a vacuum actuated solinoid. There is a diaphram that flexes which in turn activates the solinoid and opens the valve to pull the EVAP gasses into the intake to burn. These systems are not designed to work under boost, only NA. I'd bet somebody a dollar that the diaphram is ruptured from the positive pressure and cannot activate the valve, hence the gross leak code. Someone might want to check.

That's a solid theory Dino. I might take a look into it.

You might try taking off that hose (it's the one that exits the front of the throttle body, hangs a U turn and runs to the passenger side) and blowing in it. If the diaphram is blown, that line might not hold pressure.

Well i just droped off my car at the dealer. there going to run an evap monitoring thingy. So we'll see if dino's thery is correct. If it is i bet i couls put a pcv valuve somewhere in the line to stop the boost from breaking the diaphram.

Exactly: a fifty-cent checkvalve could keep it from happening.

Where do you hook up the check valve? Do you put it before the pressure sensor of the gas tank? Can you e-mail me if you got that problem fix? Thanks, my e-mail is onyo712@aol.com.

No dude. You've got it all wrong.

You'd put the checkvalve inline with the vacuum line that goes to the EVAP system. As in, the engine bay. if the light's alredy on, chances are the damage has been done and this won't fix it, this is a way to keep it from breaking in the first place, or from breaking after you fix it. And it's not proven to work yet emoji I have a 95. i don't need to worry about it.

Well i just got off the phone with them, and....
They found nothing.. Nothing.
$120 for nothing emoji
What a bitch, i asked the service guy about the diaphram thingy and he had no idea, so i'm going to talk to the tech that worked on it when i go in.
Any other ideas so i can see if he at least checkd all he could?

Well i stole my car back!!}>
When i got there the report said evap code on ecu, unable to determin why. Checked tank/ lines nothing wrong. Aftermarket fuel pressure riser installed, recommend customer to put car back to stock and retest.
So i told the service man, if there was nothing found to be wrong then it's covered by mt warantee as a malfunction with the ecu, therefore you have no proof that anything i have installed caused the problem heince nothing voided my warantee
He had nothing to say except that i need to talk to the service manager who would be in later today and that he was the only one that could void the charge, he said i'd have to pay then come back and talk to him. But then he told the cashier chick to make a copy of the reciept and give it to the manager when he cam in. So she made the copy, called for my car to be brought up (washed even) and gave me my key, (all without me paying) So i then walked emoji

Pretty good huh. lol

Maybe a fuse on the turbo timer?

As far as the EVAP code, I had it for a while and then it went away, oh well.
