#11407, "A must mod for ALL walbro/high-flow fuel pump users"
If you have an intank fuel pump such as the walbro unit or any other higher flow intank pump, i HIGHLY recommend you to do the fuel pump wire mod (check www.vfaw.com).
I have the walbro 255lph intank unit and i have an hrc stage 2 running upwards of 10psi. I was experiencing not only hesitation but also my fuel curves were REALLY wacky. On top of it all, my engine was sounding different (quieter or muffled-like sound) so something wasnt right. Compression was fine, plugs read OK...
So today I decided to do the fuel pump wire mod listed in www.vfaq.com under the 2G section, and at the same time i replaced my spark plugs with an ngk v-power plugs (BKR6E) gapped at .030".
I Cranked that sucker and immediately i noticed that the walbro pump was EXCEPTIONALLY quiet!!!! no more WHINEbro. My engine as well was sounding normal again (i believe my previous spark plugs were shot). took her for a drive, and MAN!!!!
No more hesitation. My fuel curves were dead accurate. My A/F voltage was much better. And boy oh boy does this sucker move now!!!!
I went back to my garage, and checked the plugs. They looked PERFECT with just the right amount of light grey coloring on the tip.
I am happy :=P BTW i have a 97 I4 sebring _________________ Vinnie Lima kiku@asog.net AIM: Kiku888

Adding more fuel wouldnt make the car faster would it? It should make it slower unless you add more air WITH the fuel. I might have to try that mod out though just for shits and giggles. I might miss that "WHINE" though. I kinda like it.
Damn I need to try that out...I have a hesitation in my turboed RS right now with my 10psi....hmmm.....but it just seems wierd....all you need is a 12-8ga wire from the fuel pump to the battery...thats it????
yeah I used inline fuses. Haha I did that mod before I installed the turbo, I think all it did is make me run SUPER RICH and make my fuel pump louder, haha even my stock fuel pump got louder! There are pix of it in my turbo install pix archive.
