#11401, "Fiberglass hoods and the heat from turbo?"

Has anyone w/ a cf hood or a fiberglass one had their turbo melt it. I am just wondering if they can withstand the heat or not?

my hood has a spot on it thats slightly brown from the heat but its not really noticeable except on the underside. the fiberglas gets really hot and soft feeling after driving though, but its not melted or anything

carbon fiber can withstand a grip of heat.. why do you think they make mufflers out of carbon fiber.
