I just wondering, for an aftermarket turbo, what powers it? Does it hae a power connection? Does something spool it up? What exactly makes it do its thing?

its powered from the air that pushes out from the intake to the turbo, to tha intercooler piping, into your TB, then back out the downpipe to the rear of your exhaust, heffa. tia

All you have to do is have an exhaust manifold installed on the bottom your drivers seat and have the pipe extend to the turbine, stop by taco bell for a bean buritto for some boost!

You guys are really starting to annoy me with yer "hekka" this and "heffa" that.. Stop.
A turbo is spun the the energy present in your ehaust gas. As it leaves the cylinder head, if is routed by the manifold to the turbine side of the turbocharger. The exhaust gas is forced by backpressure through the vanes of the turbine. It spins, and through the shaft that connects them, spins the compressor (which makes boost) as well.
