Hey, I'm rebuilding my engine and I believe I've read a post from you saying the clevite main bearings bottom half won't fit the early 95 models?? I've just ordered the rering kit from Howell and your statement really concerned me because I'm rebuilding my car in school and there's only 2 weeks left and my engine is still apart! Why wouldn't the bearings fit??

Darkone said that the bearings need to be 2 top halves. The bottom half won't fit due to a notch in the bearing. I would email darkone though if I were you.

thanks for the reply fast420, but what is darkone's email addy? and regarding using 2 top bearing halves, doesn't the bottom bearing have a oil gallery hole so that oil can pass through to lube the crank and bearing so just using 2 top would block off that oil gallery passage?? I gotta take a look at my stock bearings coming monday...
