#10740, "feul filter"

i have read da chiltons about it, searched the vfaqs, and i cant find much to help out with the maintenance procedure, changing the fuel filter. the chiltons that i have is for 95-98, so its really vague considering i got a 99. there is like 2 diagrams and a picture of the fuel pump in the chiltons, and thats not good enough for me cuz i dont know which diagram fits for my 99.

does anyone have a writeup that will help me out, or any insight on it???

it's right by the fuel tank, hella easy to change if you have the right tools.

yup takes about 30 minutes with the right tools. Look under the car on the passenger side infront of the back wheel. You should see it by the fuel pressure regulator and there are hoses on each side of it.

What do you mean high mileage??? Fuel filter should be changed every 30k miles.

And yeah it's in front of the gas tank, passenger side. Easy to find and easy to change.

In the 95's, it's in the engine bay. 96-99 it's in the back of the car, in front of the passenger side wheel well.

it sucks to take the filter off a 95. i almost sugest let someone else deal with it. When i was trying to lossen the bolt, the fuel line decided to twist instead of the bolt. to make a long story short, i had to have my mechanic fabricate a new fuel line.

the bolts are hard to get to and the size of open ended wrenches dont make it any easier.
