Any one running a fluidyne rad. with a turbo? If so what fans are you using? I bought a fluidyne expecting the fan by the turbo(hot side) on the hahn kit not to fit, and well, it doesn't. Any suggestions on what fan or fans to run?

Any kind of slim fan will do... I've got Flex-a-lite (FAL), Fluidyne radiator, and S16G myself, so I know what you're talking about and they're great. Not that I'm trying to sell you on them, but I do have an extra set that's blue if you're interested (I've also got a new fan mounting kit which you'll need as well).

The radiator is a beast compared to OEM, and the fans are smaller yet still blow more air than stock... a win-win situation I think.

i've got flexalite 220 fans. they're for the 4g63, but with a dremel, and a little time, they can be made to work with a turbo 420a. easy and twice as cheap as the ones specifically made for the 420a

bought mine from summit

Thanks for the input guys. It looks like i'll be going with the fal for the 4g. And J if it wasn't blue i would take you up on it. But i'm not sure how the blue would look with black, red, and silver emoji

There is no such thing as a FAL made specifically for the 420A... ALL FAL's have to be notched for the radiator inlet/outlet (search the boards here, you'll see).

Yeah, I bought the blue FAL fans from someone here on the boards if memory serves, and then wound up buying a 2nd set that were black (which cost me even more) cuz it didn't blend to well w/ the burgandy P75 paint.

Yep, yep... replying now emoji

P.S.
The reason why I have a brand new mounting kit is because I didn't want to run it through the radiator fins like you're supposed to... which is absolutely fine, but I'm just an arse like that. I'll see if I can dig up some pics of what I did to mount it, which (not to tap myself on the back) I thought was pretty slick.

Here's two pics I dug up... you can see the required notches and how I mounted the fans. All I did was buy some aluminum strips from Lowes/HomeDepot, cut them, drilled them, dremel'd them smooth, and screwed them in... they worked great. Also, for anyone looking to sandwich a set of fans over such a beautiful thing as a fluidyne radiator, might I recommend you attach some window moulding on the back side of the fans to pad it real nice (also works great).

Updated:
Whoops, forgot to post pics...

...you should note that the downpipe is obviously not attached, so it's sitting alot further back than how it bolts up (there is PLENTY of room).

Enjoy!
