Hey I gotta major issue that's been kickin my ass for months. I decided to build my own turbo kit and got it all together and it smoked like crazy. i found out that my turbo was puking oil into my exhaust. it's been 3 months of trial and error of trying to fix this. i'm using my friend's old t-25 off his tsi which i freshly rebuilt. i called gpopshop where i got the rebuild from and they doubted the turbo was the issue. i used to have 3/8'' ss line as my feed and figured that was it, to much oil. so i replaced it with -4an line and did the little rivett restrictor .0125. i know it's supposed to be .060 but i shouldnt have an issue at idle right?so non of the above didn't work. so i was hesitant about suspecting the return cause it is 5/8'' via barb fittings and hose (hey it works).but i accidently tapped into the pan at the wrong end so it was pretty far over. fixed that and put it in the right place. hoping that was it i tried and failed. my next and last suspicion that i haven't tried is that the turbo is sitting too low and doesn't sit high enough above the pan to give the return enough slope and downfall. it seems like it's the return not able to drain fast enough. turbo only sits like 2-3 '' above pan. im using the stock manifold the reason it's so low. pcy is good to go. what do you guy's think?
