hey john i used your install for the Air fuel gauge and i had a question: is the gauges supposed to jump between lean and rich while it is on, because mine slides back and forth across the band when the car is running, can anyone else answer this? http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt

That is normal when in closed loop mode. You will only get a stable reading when under throttle. The mina thing is to make sure under wot you are in the green.

That's absolutely normal. In fact it's a good thing, it indicates that your O2 sensor is in fact working. It should fluctuate faster and faster depending on what rpm and throttle position you're at(the higher rpm you're cruising at, the more fluctuation). As far as when you really have to pay attention for tuning purposes, say when you have a turbo, is at WOT (or when the throttle is all the way open, "pedal on the metal"). At that level, the a/f indicator should be somehwere above .88 but below .96 or so. (or for LED lights, 9 or 10 LED's)
If your a/f meter ever stops jumping up and down, that means your O2 sensor is probably done.
