I was just recently going reading a back issue of TURBO magazine with the 420A turbo article. I noticed that the HRC turbo kits are able to run (Stage2) 2 to 3psi more than the STAR kits. I realize that this is a fuel system issue! I am curious as to what aspect of HRC's fuel system allows it to boost more then the STAR kit ?

...the in-line works in conjunction with the stock pump as to keep the pressure of both pumps down. Very good idea. It allows for more fuel at even highger pressure than just a Wahlbro replacement. Someone here "did the most" with the inline AND intank. That's an even better idea!

That is my favourite issue of all time! Its the deciding issue that made me start to save up money in order to buy my turbo kit.
I wouldn't take that issue word for word though because it does have some errors including the price of Hahn's kit at the time!
You can't run max boost possible (by the turbo) on stock internals anyway so I would suggest you consider setting aside some money for fuel upgrades (be it SAFC, Injectors of better Fuel Pump).. Ideallly a SAFC & Injectors coupled with a Stage II would be perfect.

The in tank pump is cabable of flowing huge amounts of fuel as evidenced by the 500+hp turbo DSMs that have them. The problem is even the "high pressure" intank pump performance declines as fuel pressure goes up. If a kit was designed with larger injectors and to run no more than say 55psi of pressure the intank pump would be all thats needed. At Stage 1 and 2 fuel pressures what Skrilla said. I'm thinking about skipping the in tank pump all together and just getting an inline (high pressure walboro+in-line=too much) but then that might still be too much fuel(and pressure) with the included 12:1 regulator.

320cc injectors and a 10:1 regulator. I did the RCE calculations with 330cc injectors and a 4:1 regulator and the horsepower capability seemed reasonable up to 10lbs of boost. I'm sure with a 10:1 regulator, inline pump and 320cc injectors you should have fuel to spare at 10psi
