okay this is the last time i want to go into this because every time i decide which one i want i read someting that sways me to the other one. the Greddy type s or the HKS BOV? which one whistles and whats the difference between the two sounds? i know the functional and dependability details already. i cant search teh archive for the post so if anyone has the post with the BOV sounds links let me know. i have yet to find a link to the greddy sound, what appears to be the most widely used aftermarket valve.

This website sucks so I had to make it an audio clip. If I made it a video clip that was small enough that the site would let you download it, it sounded like ASS!

Type S!! The HKS supersequential (if thats the one you're considering) sounds awful like its muffled air just coming out. The Type S has a much more sharper, high pitched whistle rather than a nasty sounding muffle...

Ive seen pics of the BOV installed with a HAHN kit and it doesnt look like it would fit with your hood... it looks like it needs the hump. Anyone know if it will or not?

Both should fit no problem. The TurboXS wont fit worth a damn without the elbow adapter unless you relocate it like I did. I like the HKS BOV sound better. The few HOS SSQV I've heard weren't muffled or stuttering at all. Its louder and higher pitched than the Greddy. They sound down right futuristic to me.

I guess this isn't helping at all huh Cyan. Your right where you started, some like the Greddy and some the HKS. Guess you'll have to gamble and go with your gut feeling.

The greddy sounds like a Bomb droping through the air... the HKS is a loud screach sorta like when I planes tires hit the runway. That's the best way I know how to describe it.
