#104329, "voltage clamp"

I was reading a forum about the missing link and someone said that a voltage clamp is better than a missing link to eliminate fuel cut. What exactly is a voltage clamp and where can I get one.

It prevents the ecu from seeing boost by limiting the number of volts from the map sensor that are sent to the ecu. You can get one from symtech labs (one of the site sponsors) or one of our members (eclipse982nrRST). Basically a Missing link and voltage clamp (more commonly referred to as an fcd - fuel cut defender, btw) are meant to do the same thing two different ways. A missing link prevents the map from seeing boost by way of a valve and a fcd limits the the output of the map so even if it does see boost, the signal it sends to the ecu does not indicate boost is present

Get a FCD, missing links are mostly hit or miss so if you are gonna spend the money, go with the better option.
