#103926, "Gasket For Star Exhaust Manifold Turbo Mount"

A while back I ordered a Star Performance Exhaust Manifold and had a mechanic switch out an older custom turbo header exhaust (which turned out to be better in performance but faulty in design).

Don't know what he used for the gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo mount but now its broken, he's on vacation, and I need a replacement FAST so I could race on the upcoming track days.

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement gasket, or if its possible to make your own ? If so, from what and where can I get it ?

I've never even used a gasket between the manifold and the turbo with my star mani. Never had a problem.

Check eBay or various online shops (Extremepsi.com, etc.)

Any Ford car that came with a T3 turbo will use that gasket stock. You can probably pick one up at AutoZone as long as you know what to ask for.

FWIW, i never ran a gasket there either, never had an issue.

There are plenty of places to buy the T3 manifold gaskets...But you could also just make one like I did for all of my turbo and WG gaskets. I made a template with cardboard then bought a peice of copper sheet metal from Home Depot and cut it out with some shears. 3 years and no leaks.

I know turbo 280ZXs have T3 gaskets my L28ET came with one has these nice little brackets that keep the nuts from loosening too. Anyway the 81-83 280ZX turbo has a T3 with a gasket don't know if the turbo Z31 has one but it does have a T3 as well.

Also Road Race Engineering sells gaskets:
