#103768, "Turbo Leaks Oil"

Well i just started it after leaving it in the garage over winter and when i was driving it i saw a lot of blue smoke out the exhaust and i was like wat the hell. So at first i thought it was the PCV valve but thats not it and then i was starting to think it was the turbo, so i unbolted where the exhaust meets the turbo and bam theres oil all around there. Im trying to sell my car so i just need to fix this leak. The turbo is from the STAR Stage II kit so its the T04/T3 Hybrid Turbo i believe, someone correct me if im wrong, but im just looking for the quickest cheapest fix, so if someone could direct me to an exact reseal kit i can buy or what not please let me kno, thanks

remove the turbine housing from the manifold and look up that. is there oil in there? if so it could be from the engine and not the turbo. (rings, valve seals, etc)
if not then your in for a seal rebuild on the turbo

Turbos nowadays are getting so inexpensive, it's almost not worth rebuilding older ones. You could probably get a nice Garrett T3 or Turbonetics replacement for around 600-800 brand new. A turbo rebuild will probably run you around 400 I have seen.

Weren't you the guy running a xs power turbo as a temp?

Anyway, you can buy a rebuild kit no problem.

As long as you mark everything with white out so you can line everything up, the turbo will be balanced when you put it back together.

Are you running a restrictor on your feed line?

Any harsh angles on your drain? Is your drain flange high enough on your oil pan?

Definately check up on what the op's said as well.

Goodnight sweetheart...yes its time to go...bum bum bum bum bum...good night sweetheart yes I am one little a$$hole......bum bum bum bum....
