#102629, "Can I beat a RSX type S?"

I want to know what chances do I have of beating an RSX type S. Wich may have a few mods don't really know! but could be intake exhaust and maybe some tunning like a neo or something. Just say if stock and if modded. just want to be sure don't wanna get my butt kicked.

My set up

t3/t4 at 5 psi
star mani
450 injectors
fuel press reg
255 hp wally
safc 2
stock exhaust with no cat and no resonator an no muffler (really loud!)
smic
60mm throttle
P&P intake mani

Status- Need to do break-in...

If you don't screw up the launch, probably. You likely make a fair amount more torque than the RSX, and are close to the same horsepower.

You will have to bump up the boost if you want to beat him. I barely beat one when I was at 6 psi from a 5 mph roll and the rsx was stock. Beat it by about 1 car length or so.

its easy to beat a RSX, just grab a hammer and wail away!

Why 5PSI? get an IC, Supra sidemounts are awesome and flow fantastically . Can I take on the winner for pinks?

YAY, this is my favorite topic. Ok, I don't care what anyone else tells you... if you know how to drive your car, YOU WILL WITHOUT A DOUBT beat an rsx. I stayed dead even with an rsx from 0-90mph, then he started to pull on the top end....and i'm NA. All I have is cai, headers, and a fart can. Look for a smile on your face. You shouldnt have any trouble. It couldnt hurt to turn up the boost though.

Who cares if you lose? There is no fun in only running races you will win. Just run him and you will have your answer. This isn't Fast and Furious..

yeah I plan on boosting 8psi but, rigth now I'm still at 5 cuz I need a bigger exhaust urgently plus still need to put in the polyurethane insert in the back mount was way dificult so I put in the other 3 and left that one so someone else does it. and the I need the catch can. after al that is done. I have to save some cash to take the car to the dyno to get some horses out of it. And I'm kinda broke right now.

By the way wich after i do all of the above you think is better to get an ignition to retard a bit and boost up a lil or some pistons an rods?

if its a DD then i wouldnt up the boost at all, unless you can afford the downtiem while you rebuild the engine form the ringlands you will crack.
i also would save my money and not dyno it till you get your forged internals and up your saftey margin, cuz once you get on the dyno your gonna want to up the boost emoji
