#102455, "Running pig rich need to lean a lot any tips?"

i recently did my build and well got lots of kinks but work them out but the persisten one is the running way rich. I wave the 255hp wally, 450cc turbo inject. and press. regulator plus safc 2. I thought the modern performance 60mm throttle would help but i'm still runnig too rich the car stinks like gas a lot from the exhaust and when i hit the gas it hesitates till it can manage tu burn it up followed by a big cloud of black smoke along with crude gas from the exhaust. i am worried that this my damge my engine any tips I've alredy optimized the air/fuel in the sacf to just 2400 rpm point but I worried to lean it up after that cuz thats when the boost comes in any sugestion are apreciated.

Well I do have the resitor pack and also missing link my safc is set at -50 in 800 and 1600rpm then on 2400 rpm -25 but even then it's so rich it dosen't burn the fuel fast enough. Also do any of you know if the wally 255hp must be installed with a relay to prevent it from getting damaged?

The fuel pump already uses the stock relay on the firewall, there is no need to add another one.

Thats some outrageous #'s on the AFC. Back when I had one with 440's, my idle was only brought down by -20%.

What kind of pressure regulator is this that you are using by chance? Are you installed correctly??

Also, how long have you been boosted/has this been going on?

well my press reg. it}s a 1:1 I think it´s the one you get at ebay like really cheap and my fuel rail press is 25 maybe a lil less. I have since fixed a bit the problem with the safc and the smic helped a lot it´s no longer that rich but I still feel slugishness of it before it burns the fuel up it´s less noticeable now but still is there I guess I´ll just have to wait and fix it on the dyno. But I still got to put in the urethane mount cause the stock ones are badly torn the get my exhaust as I want it 2.5 all the way back no muffler no nothing. Perks of knowing the guy that does vehicle inspection! but any way I´ve been trying to get some pics up so all you v¿can see but havent had the time cuz I log on for like 5 min and go but maybe some time this week there will be up. thanxs for all the help any other tips are more than welcome.

Yea, a 1:1 is scary dude.

Also, if your getting a new exhaust, get a 3" back, not 2.5

a 1:1 rising rate? unless you can remap you injectors under boost (never used a SAFC before, dunno if it can take it's own MAP) you're gonna melt your pistons! you're almost better off gettin like 25lb/hr with an 8:1 or so, stock with 12:1 is about right up to ~8 psi, but then you get some pretty high fuel psi (crackin out hoses, been there done that).
