I, like some other people on this forum are in desperate
need of help. I've spent over 4,500 dollars on a brand new
engine with JE pistons and eagle rods, new heads with 3 angle
valve job, and a beautiful turbo setup.
I have two main problems keeping this car from the road.
1. most of the time when i try to shift gears, the shifter
will never " lock " into place and i really need to
play with the shifter to get the gear engaged possibly
the clutch bearings? (because i hear them buzzing when i rev)
or something inside the tranny... should i just get a new
tranny?
2. with the exception of a walbro 255L and accel injectors...
there's absolutely NO fuel management. I heard stories that
the stock 420a ECU can handle up to like 5-7 psi. However I'm
unwilling to trust that.
it's been over a year, i want to be able to enjoy the damn
money i put into this car. sometimes i feel like chucking a
match into the gastank. I AM looking into a Hahn portfuler,
but I am short on time and patience and i don't have the
garage for this operation. does anybody have any ideas or
suggestions?

Your second problem is my problem from time to time.
What gears are you having trouble in?
Could be your shift linkage. Could be bent select levers.
It could also be bad syncros or a bad release/throw out bearing.
I know my transmission is fucked all to hell. Usually, i can throw my lever right into third and it goes into third. I've had it stop and start bouncing/grinding and that's with double clutching due to a dead synchro.
Sometimes, it wont go into first. Sometimes it wont go into reverse. I to have to play with my knob to find the sweet spot. You're not the only one.
Start trouble shooting. Start with the shift linkage first. Check for slop in the cables.
