i have an intercooler with a 3" inlet and outlet. I am going to be running 6-8lbs. of boost. If i get 2.5" ic piping will my turbo spool slower than if i had 2.25" ic piping? What size piping should i get? i really dont know because i dont want my turbo to spool slow because the ic piping is too big.

If your intercooler has 3" inlets, just go 2.5" piping for ease of putting it all together (coupler-wise). 2" to 2.5" piping is what you should be looking for on a basic turbokit setup. 2.5" is considered overkill and may slow down spool-up time, but it won't be THAT noticable. I personally use 2.5" piping with a 3" inlet intercooler and use 2.5-3" reducer couplers to connect them at the intercooler's inlets.

Also, the bigger the piping, the harder it is to cram it into your engint bay. My turbo has a downward exit, and I had to get slim fans in front of my radiator to make it fit.
