Hi Guys. It's been awhile since I posted here, but you've always been great help, so I hope you can help me again. I did do some searches, but didn't really find what I was looking for.
Just a quick recap, I'm building a turbo neon with a 420a head.
So, after some initial research some months ago, I decided to buy the crower stage 2 turbo cams for the 420a head. It seemed to be my best option. Then Brian Crower split from Crower and now sells the new BC SRT4 race cams. These have turned out to be awesome cams and make the Crower stage 2's look kind of weak when in cars over 400 hp.
So, I emailed BC to see if they could make a set of SRT4 cams that would fit our heads, afterall there is only one diameter different to make the cams swap in our heads over the neon heads. They said it was impossible and didn't think there was a market for it, they wouldn't even do a custom set for me.
So, are there any other options out there for us that compare to these BC cams?
Thanks for any help.
Bob

I already have the oversize valves.
I don't think making up the difference is a fair argument. If you are doing a high hp build putting the right stuff in to begin with is the better option.
I guess I'll look for a custom cam grinder, maybe even crower and give them the specs off the BC cams if I can get them.

Care to share some details of your build and how you're tuning it? People have run into reversion issues at high boost levels on some of the larger turbos, but I want to say we're leaning towards the head casting and intake manifolds being to blame more so than the cam profiles. The C2T was designed to provide gains comparable to the conventional C2, but without the overlap. To dial out enough overlap to make a set of C2s ideal at those high boost levels is to pretty much neutralize the gains one would ordinarily see.
If you like the grind so much and are willing to shell out cash for custom grinds, bootleg the specs and have Crower build you a set for the 2GNT head with those numbers. BC is right in saying there's no market for them in this community. As much as we would all like to be running around in 400hp+ cars, I can only think of two people right now at the 400hp mark or better.
Good luck with the project, though. It's kinda cool to see a Neon guy posting over here once in a while. I was the same way back in the day on Neons.org when researching my all motor build. You Neon guys are crazy.

The SRT4 cams use a different centerlines versus the 2.0L cams, so doing the exact same grind on a different core isn't really possible.
What is the difference between the SRT4 CS2 and the BC SRT4 equivalent? Apples to apples...

You are correct with the centerline thing, but honestly that is an easy fix. A lot of the neon guys are running SRT4 cams, all you do is file the alignment pin of the cam angle sensor magnet and rotate it 180° (I think that's the degree anyways, don't take that as gospel).
