Should i get a full 3" exhaust or go with the 2.5"? it is going to be a custom exhaust. Im sure my turbo will spool alot faster with a 3" dp and a full 3" exhaust right? Will my car still run good since there wont be much back pressure? I am only running 7psi.

If you have the choice, go 3". It does cost more and takes up more room in the bay, but if you can get it to fit good, it is worth it.

i went to mr. muffler today and they tried telling my that a 3" wouldnt fit over my rear axle. Then i asked him if the TIG welded the exhaust and he said no so i laughed and then left.

Most places won't TIG weld exhausts. You can't TIG weld within 20 feet of your car or else your electronics will be fried.

this isnt true. if you're going to weld on the car, disconnect the battery and pump the brake pedal a few times. keep the ground clamp close if youre really paranoid and dont run the connection through any bearings or anything (ie welding a 4 link bracket on a rear diff)

I can make you a 3" catback and TIG weld it. Aluminized steel or stainless, take your pick.

edit: your car does not need back pressure to run. back pressure is all bad. however, the disadvantage of running larger exhaust is the speed at which the exhaust gas will move is slower. high engine speeds and lots of boost 3" is ideal. ~10psi daily driven (300-350whp) 2.5" is my preference. there are advantages and disadvantages to running 2.5" vs 3". My car made 400whp with 2.5". what are your goals?
