#101856, "My new turbo set-up coming together"

I've wanted to turbo my car for a long time and with the job I have now I finally have the money. So far i've bought a Garett T-25 turbo with the exhaust housing and everything, a 2nd gen SMIC, and I ordered a NOPI rs blow-off valve (Greddy knockoff) from a local shop. I also have a Cartech 12:1 FMU and a Turbonetics mbc coming soon. That means all I have left to get is the exhaust manifold, a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, a fuel cut deffender, a T3 flange to T25 adapter plate (as you know, all the manifolds on ebay are T3 flanged), make all of the intercooler piping, make a downpipe, and get a boost and a/f ratio gauge (i'm probably forgeting some small stuff). Here's the twist, before anyone trys to explain that the T25 turbo's that came on 2nd gen DSM's have a Mitsubishi flange, I'm not using a T25 from a DSM. I'm using a T25 off of my friend's sr20det swapped Nissan 240sx. I plan on running 7psi on the stock injectors. If anyone has any advice or input let me know. Also, if anyone knows where I can get a fuel cut deffender, let me know because i'm going to be looking soon.

contact mike here on the forum, he makes electronic FCDs. very good quality, have one myself. ditch the craptech fmu, get a vortech FMU or better yet...an SFMU. what would probably be better with the IC set up is to get an intercooler off ebay and a universal pipe kit. might end up costing around the same as fabbing up all the pipes unless your doing that yourself. there's a write up in the WIKI on ebay IC set ups.

edit: oh yea, get a wideband...otherwise youll just waste your money now cause you WILL want one in the future. I have the zeitronix wideband and LCD display. i have it set up for 02, egt and boost. its a great investment!

Oh, btw theres a SFMU for sale in the for sale section and i have one as well...however mine has a problem with it, shouldnt be a whole lot to fix though if your interested.
