#101709, "Pump gas dyno pull"

On 19 psi the car hit 376.23hp & 334.92tq, and at full boost it blew the tires off. To help my crappy tires spinning on the dyno we turned the boost down to 15-16 and the car made 334.05hp & 336.70tq. Oddly enough the car was reading a little lean on the dyno, up in the high 11's to low 12's. On the street on the way there and on the way home it was running upper 10s to low low 11's. Not sure why the difference, maybe the air was a little cooler, thus lower IAT's. I'm going to look at the logs to see whats up with the a/f's but on pump gas its about 20hp higher than what I expected and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very pleased. The dyno had an issue with losing my rpm signal, a problem that they claimed happen very commonly with the 3000 gt's and the dsm's. On my dyno graph They claim that its why the torque on both curves shows so low. It looks like on the 334 pull it was about 350ish, the 376 pull I got a bunk graph that cuts off at 4500. Peak horsepower was at 5800. I'll try to host the graph and video soon.

400whp or bust.

Congrats, Chad, a few more pounds and you'll meet your 400whp goal.

Really nice numbers Chad. Congrats. I think that's a bit more than you were anticipating. Real close to that 400whp mark. Use race gas and you'll be there.

I'm also very pleased to see that the peak was 5800. That fits into the pattern/design quite nicely. Any port and polish on that?

Yeah, its got a mild port and polish on it. Done by me and a die grinder and lots of sanding drums. The head is pretty much stock otherwise, and its on stock timing. I still haven't hooked up the megasquirt to handle the timing. The car has a lot more in it.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers you got there, congrats! Do you have a mod list anywhere so I could see what you all have done?

Oh really? I thought that's what you did to go to the dyno. OK, in that case, set your spark and that'll probably put you over.
