ok guys im a lil new, but i have research 2gnt eclipse since like 6 months, and i know alot about them so my biggest concern isi want like 300 - 350 hp but as a daily driver.i know i have to build the bottom end with forge pistons and rods performance head gasket bigger fuel injectors and stuff but i want to know if it is possible because as much as i want the power i also want it to last as a daily driver too he he, special if im rolling up to work or some i want to make sure i can put those damn hondas in there place. so im just asking about that. also i research some ebay turbos( a lil low on the dough) and i dont want to buy that will sux, so some say good others say bad i just want to know if there is alot of problems or are there some good 1s. thanks

If you are planning on running 300-350 hp daily-driver, I would NOT recommend an eBay turbo. I have a writeup in the wiki portion of the site (http://www.2gnt.com) about an eBay turbo I bought and am documenting the condition of it to see how long it lasts. Right now it is doing very well, but I am only running 4 psi on it because of a weak fuel pump.
Yes, 300-350 hp is possible on a daily driven car, but you will have to learn a lot to be able to run that much. Your fuel system will be the biggest thing that you will have to worry about. For that much power, Hahn's Portfueler or Megasquirt n Spark (MSnS) are really the only options for fuel on a setup like that. AEM has come out with a Fuel/ Ignition Control system (F/IC) for a good price, but no one from on here has used one yet and documented it. You already know you need the forged internals and such, but the head is where the power is all made. Maybe port and polish it, add some aggressive cams and use some good, strong parts in the rebuild and it should turn out quite nice. All the info you will ever need about how our cars run will be on here and basically every question that you have will already have been answered at some time. Do some searching around as you will find A TON of info on this site, it is the best resource for the 2GNT around.
BTW, welcome to the site.

Probably 15-20 psi at least. All depends what size and what kind of turbo you go with.

the boost you want all depends on your turbo...start looking into threads from people that already have 300-350hp...and see if they are happy with their own setups. See if theres anything they would change. Also I highly recommend not going cheap on this kind of project. dont get anxious and buy whatever you can get. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. and dont buy the biggest turbo in the world it'll do you no good. find out what you want:top end power low end power high torque at high rpms or at low rpms etc...then decide what setup you need as far as building the bottom end and head. The most expensive cams arent always the right choices. IMO for the best turbo you want something with the least amount of lag, but able to handle some real boost consistently. one of your main focus needs to be on air/fuel. you absolutely do NOT want to run lean. There are alot of options to get to your goal its all about what you want. if you get halfway and run out of funds...dont settle for less. wait and save until you can get the best.
