ive noticed that im not seeing full boost in my car...and this bothers me. I have an external wastegate setup(turbonetics Evolution) and the spring is set for 7psi...and im only seeing 5. i checked the system for a leak and i didnt find any. can i really lose 2 psi across a FMIC and the piping? i mean id think 1 psi sure, but 2? what else can be going on here? thanks for any input guys.

if you want the full 7psi, you can run your wastegate vacumm line directly to the intake manifold. I run mine like this... but it'll be harder to detect when u have a boost leak.

Sooo if I am getting this right... RIght now I have the Boost " signal" hose running straight from the nipple on the compressor to the Tial wastegate. What I SHOULD be doing if I want my 7psi spring to actually make 7psi of Boost is to run a Hose from the intake manifold Nipple down to the Wastegate and just cap off the Turbocharger NIPPLE?

I had the same problem, even after running the vac line from the intake manifold. It could be your spring. I was told mine was 8 psi but im pretty sure it was 5. So I put a MBC in line and the car runs great. Smoother and more power, and the wastegate pops open at 8 psi with no creep.

Yeah i guess i could just run the line to the manifold. Wow. a 2 psi loss across the intake piping? is there anything i can do to get those numbers down? i mean i would expect a pressure loss across the intercooler. Hmm. maybe ill just try shimming up that spring to see if i can get 7 psi at the manifold, since the WG came with a few shims.

Dude, just buy a MBC, its like 15 bucks.
