Ok I have been doing the search button and i dont want to buy a turbo kit from hahn and rather build a custom like everyone says that is easy however I dont know where to start. I see so many turbos on ebay, manifolds,etc and i dont know what to choose. I dont know if they are going to fit in the eclipse and what is going to be put together. I know there are garrett turbos and t3/t4 turbos etc. The writeup of 800 dollar is great but i cant find those parts at those prices. Anyways where should i start i want to boost my car but honestly dont know where to go and what to look for you know. Im not lazy i just see soo many turbos and manifolds, intercoolers I just need some help.

oh by the way is there such thing as a good ebay turbo? i saw some manifolds that are really good on ebay for 200 and people say have good reviews rather than the obx ones

The first thing you should worrying about is building your bottom end for boost. Then, getting your fuel system setup to handle the increased needs of forced induction. Our cars come with something like 190cc injectors, I think; And a fuel pump that you'd be stressing the hell out of, if you just slapped on a TC. As far as ebay turbo kits go, I would tend to steer clear of them, as you can never be sure of the quality, and there is not usually any sort of warranty. When there is one, I doesn't warranty your engine, should you blow it up while using an inferrior product. You might be able to get away with purchasing some of the pieces on ebay, however. Piping, joints, etc... But I would buy a kit from a reputable source. Hahn, CI, Slowboy. (With CI or Slowboy you're more than likely going to be waiting a while.)Save your money and do your research. Do it right the first time and save yourself a mess of headaches and cash down the toilet.

dont want to sound stupid but what is CI and I know you can find some good turbos somewhere and i know about hahn but people would tell me i would be replacing alot of parts anyway??

how do i built a custom turbo i want quick spool time but I dont know where to look I look at the custom turbo kit page however it just shows how much your looking to spend and how big the turbo. I know any moving parts i need quality parts anything else i can go on ebay.

Definately look into building your bottom end first like Fallen suggested but I think that the most important part of turbo'ing your car is to read as much on the subject as you can so that you can get a full understanding first of how everything works. If you have no clue as to the basics of a turbo kit then you will have a hard time installing everything. First search and read as much as you can. Then start to think about what goals your looking for. If you want to make huge power then you will need to build your motor and get something good to tune with. If your looking for a decent kit that won't require you to get the motor built then I would suggest just going with a 14b turbo kit like I did or getting a t3/t4 turbo and running low boost.

If your talking huge power how many ponnies is that like 300 or more because my goals is at least 250 hp on stock internals is that possible or no?? and i want to run 8psi.

You will most likely get around 200 whp at 8 psi on stock internals. It's not a lot, but you will definitely feel the difference when driving. I just bought an eBay turbo to troubleshoot my car and am writing a wiki article that reviews/logs on how long it lasts. I just threw the turbo on last night and so far so good. I am using an "Autosquare" manifold from eBay (I believe he is no longer selling them anymore though), but it's basically a STAR manifold knockoff. I have had it for almost a year and no complaints on it.
Here is the Wiki page for the eBay turbo I bought, I am planning on updating it more today when I get a chance.

If you're unfamiliar with turbos here is some good reading for you. Talks about all the spec numbers there are when looking at turbos so you know what they mean:
