Alright, I just put in my new motor with accel 30# fuel injectors and i can not get the idle fuel pressure to drop below 60 psi on my gauge. Right now i'm using the large silver spring but I have already tried changing the springs and that didn't work. Just to make sure i have it right, it goes: retainer disk, spring, other retainer disc, diaphragm, and then your disc and washer combo, correct???? I have no leaks and my return line is 6an with a 6an fitting welded on. BTW, my car is a 97. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Edit: I just took it out for its maiden voyage, and the gauge didn't move from 60 psi at all but my cars idles like stock and there is no hesitation anywhere when i was driving it. Also, i didn't smell any unburnt fuel from my exhaust. I'm lost here. TIA again

Anyone??? Could a cheap universal fuel filter not allow me to lower my fuel pressure at all??? I've taken my return line off and looked for restrictions and didn't see any. I also blew air through it just to make sure. I've tried both springs to no avail. Could there possibly be something wrong with my new electrical gauge??? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

You did disable the factory fpr right?

Yes, it is completely gone. My fuel system goes from the fuel pump to a new fuel filter, to the stock hard line, to the fuel rail, to a 6an return line, to the sfmu, and back to the tank through another 6an line. And also, the vacuum signal is coming right from the intake manifold and there are no kinks in the line. I'm beginning to think i bought a bad sfmu. Thats the only thing that i can logically think of at this point. Unless i am overlooking something small and simple, but i don't think so.

Is it used? You would be the second person to have this happen in the last couple weeks.

yeah, i bought it used from here awhile ago. Thats the only thing i can think of.

correct, im the other person. i bought a brand new sfmu and it runs perfectly. is the sfmu restricted when you blow through the inlet? if so, this might be your problem.

2006 gsxr 750- jardine gp1 exhaust, -1,+2 stealth sprockets, DID 525 chain, JD products pro TRE. 0-60 in a sneeze. ran a 10.8 avg 1/4 mile my first time to the track on street tires, stock swingarm and unstrapped.
