#101321, "SFMU will not raise fuel pressure all the time"

When im going into the highway I take a look at my egt and sometimes it will raise to 1550---1580 and im not full trottle so I raise the gas and let it go down, at this time my af will be 13..ish 14 (narrow). Sometimes, it will drop to 10 and I will get egt to around 1200-1250 then I can go more fast for longer. Is it my sfmu that not raise fuel all the time ?

My fuel setup is sfmu/440CC with new fuel filter. Im using missing link for fcd. I think if I continue to press the gas it will eventualy raise the fuel but i dont want to take the guest and see 1700 egt.

I would try an electronic fcd, ml have been know to cause problems but then again so has electronic fcds. How did you buy the sfmu? New, used, what? Have you checked the vaccuume line to the sfmu? Are they new injectors? Alot of things need to be checked and if you have checked them let us know what you have found!

You don't really want to boost much at partial throttle. Your problem is not the SFMU (and if I'm understanding right, it's not really a problem at all), search for open loop and closed loop for some good explanations. If you go WOT, you will see your egt's lower. Example, going up a long hill on a highway at partial throttle, look at your egt's slowly climb. THen go WOT and watch them lower.

Edit: Here's a good starting point

Nice find, I knoe my ecu will try to lean it when not in full trottle, but was sure that anything more than 1600 egt are really bad. Im auto and if Im going part trottle from 1-2-3-4 gear it will stay all the time 14.5..14.7 a/f with some high egt.

That's too lean under boost. Do you have a fp gauge that you can use to test your fuel pressure? And you're right 1600 is not good.

My fuel pressure is around 60 at 5psi boost. Today im do a hard rnu and at wot the car will go to 1550 egt than go down to 1300. But if I press slowly on the gas it will go to 1550 and stay there.. then if I mash it for 2 sec will go near 1600 than go down. btw.. im still on stock exhaust will a leak at the downpipe.
