I was wondering if it's okay to run my car without the downpipe for a couple miles to an exhaust shop. I don't have an o2 housing to bolt up to it so all the exhaust gases would be coming out sideways towards things like my radiator hose and thermostat. Would it be okay for just a couple miles to run it like this especially if i don't boost and drive like a grandma?

dude, that shit is hot. i would shove a bend on it for a min. clamp some fiberglass wrap from the turbo to dp or even some ghetto ass foil dp or somthin. the gasses will melt anything they are close to which is everything.

go to auto zone and get a flexi hose. that way you can bend it away from anything that would melt.

2006 gsxr 750- jardine gp1 exhaust, -1,+2 stealth sprockets, DID 525 chain, JD products pro TRE. 0-60 in a sneeze. ran a 10.8 avg 1/4 mile my first time to the track on street tires, stock swingarm and unstrapped.

I would recommend not even starting it without some sort of pipe to route it towards the ground. Like what was said earlier, exhaust gases will melt stuff quickly.

how would I attach that flexible exhaust tubing if it's a turbo with a 3 bolt exhaust outlet? I don't have a flange yet so there is no tubing there at all, just the outlet of the turbo.

I don't know what other people have done because I had a welder at my disposal when I did mine. I guess wait for the flange to come in and then mock something up for the trip there.

Or just have it towed.
