hello this is my first post*adds dancing banana*anyways i boosted my 420a with a t3/t4 setup and im running 5 psi of boost, everything seems to be okay under half throttle then when i hit the gas my car seems to sputter kinda like its not getting fuel/spark and is faster at half throttle then full throttle??? but I gapped my ngk cold plugs about 0.15 closer and for fuel i got 255lph pump/sotck injectors/sfmu/safc,im not using a FCD so does this sound like a fuel cut problem?any info/advise is apreciated.

Shouldn't really be part-throttle boosting anyways, but yes. You need a FCD.

Mike and Paul sell FCD's on here. Check the BST section.

How were they "tuning" your car on the dyno with an SAFC?

well i took it to the shop cause i dont have a pocket logger/egt/wide band to tune with, they didnt tune with the safc, just adjusted my a/f ratio, after i got the papers it says my A/F ratio fluctuated between 12.7 and 11.9,its real jumpy in the graph basicly up and down up and down,so im thinkin fcd and its cured*prays*haha.

If you have a 95 you do not need to buy an FCD. A few 96's dont either. Anyone trying to sell you one for a 95 is taking advantage of you.

I would be more concerned about your fuel mixture at WOT. Do you have any way to measure the o2 counts or have a wideband perhaps? Sounds like your flooding when you go WOT.

my sfmu is 12-1 is that too much under boost?i have the graph from the dyno and its a/f between 12.7 and 11.9 buts thats at 3900 rpm so i have know idea what the ratio is at WOT,what would you recomend between pocket logger/egt guage or wide band??oh and fuel cuts definitaly out of the picture then since its 95??thx for the help and sorry for my dumb questions:]

Did you figure out the problem yet?

I seem to have something possibly similar going on. I don't know what your plugs are gapped to now, but try gapping them to .025". I know it seems small,... just try it.

I also had a problem with detonation. I fixed it with my ignition by just pulling timing with boost.. anyhow, try to regap your plugs to where I said and see if that works for you,.

I have a crane aftermarket ignition. I just purchased their little map sensor thingy, that attaches to a timing retard control box, and vuala.. my timing is pulled as boost comes up.

I don't know how some people do it. If I didn't pull timing I would be detonating all over the place. I have 8.8:1 compression, and am not boosting that much. I don't really understand why I am detonating so much, but I have not really heard of others having that problem.

Anyhow, hope that helps. i do recommend the iginition however. It is sort of pricy, but it gives you a little more control over your car. as far as timing is concerned anyhow.
