I have a HRC kit on the car, and I need an exhaust, so i went to american muffler and I asked about a 3" exhaust. the guy swears it cannot be done, I on the other hand know it can be done. So, i was hoping if one of you guys with a flowmaster 40 series can crawl under the car and take a picture that would help. Thanks guys.

That's your problem right there. The guys at American muffler don't know shit about our cars. Go to Jap mufflers instead. They'll be able to bolt up a 4" exhaust for you in under half an hour.

Im pretty sure it can go under the member and still have enough room for the 40 series? correct me if im wrong..Thanks guys

do you have a big rear sway bar? if you do then it might not work, but if he wont do it, you could just be a pre-made 3'' system off egay and drive it over to the shop and tell him to study the design carefully for the next dsm that comes in =D how low does you car sit mate?

I guess I was thinking that you needed a downpipe made, not an exhaust. I just bought my 3 in. catback from eBay a few weeks ago and it only costed 269 shipped. Might look into an option like that and if you want a different muffler on the end, have your muffler shop throw a different 3" muffler on it. Then give him a big "told ya so" showing that the 3" exhaust can be done on your car emoji
