I woke up early today to get most of my turbo install done and could not for the life of me get my 14b turbo to fit. The wastegate kept hitting my driver's side fan not matter what I did. Then I loosened the clamp which holds the turbo and clocked it a little to get the wastegate to fit but the wastegate flap opens up the more I try to rotate the turbo. Does anyone know if i'm supposed to ditch the driver's side fan, only bolt up the wastegate with one bolt instead of two, or try to modify the wastegate?? I bought this turbo kit off of a member but he's barely on here and when I search all I find is old posts where the pics don't even show up anymore. I'm dying to finally finish this turbo install. Thanks in advance.

I have never seen a 14b turbo setup in person so I can't help too much. You can't just ditch the driver-side fan as that is your main fan for keeping cool. You can go with a pusher fan setup for that one for fairly cheap (60-70 bucks probably).

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of removing the driver's side fan before you told me that. But if I remove the driver's side fan can't I just run the wiring to the other fan and have that one working as my main fan?

you could, but it's not gonna be as efficient, both fans run when certain temps are hit to cool things. get a decent pusher setup, that way you don't have to worry about anything, or get some low profile fans but those are more $$$

Yep. I think that's what i'm gonna do. I picked up a 12" in pusher at pep boys for $60 but I think I might return it and just get one off of ebay that pushes more cfm and costs less. Thanks for the help guys.
