#100599, "Ticking Noise ???"

Hey guys i need some help, ive researched a bit and found a couple things it could be. So heres the deal, im low on oil like real low, i kno im retarded, and i was driving home and ran into this CRX and of course my nature, i cant give up a race, so of course i raped him and go on home, when i get home i open my hood and hear a tick coming from the valve cover, its def not a knock. Def a ticking noise and it increases with rpms, go in the engine bay, open the throttle and the noise increases. Hopeing i didnt fuck up too bad and spin a rod bearing, and hopeing its something i can fix. Def going to put oil in asap, and never race on low oil, but if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys

why dont you go crash it into a tree. That way you will not be known as that jackass that raced his car with no oil in it. moron

Please sell your car to someone that will care for it.

We will build you bigger and stronger

Wake up and drive my ass... More like wake up and fix it.

Well if it was at the bottom line then it was only one quart low. Shouldn't have done any damage, I've let it get that low before and I don't have any problems.

i'd sat it might be a lifter or a valve. run some lucas through it with your next oil change and it should hush it up.

i've never spun a bearing but a lifter/valve tick will be a real quick ticking sound and will get faster as you press the throttle, not sure about the bearing.

i had to do a couple of top end jobs on my car when i first got it. aperently, the top end wasn't getting enough oil and slowly got killed. people drive every day with oil at the bottom mark. nbd. thats not the prob. use some engine flush and change the oil. then add some mistery oil. did one of the valves get stuck yet?

got that megasquirt!
