#104077, "just installed 315cc injectors and 8.7psi WG spring and....."

so today i got in my brand new 315cc injectors thanks too frank130 and there now installed as along with my new 8.7psi spring(7.7 technicaly after volume loss)so its time to drive the car and see how it runs,my supporting fuel mods are the 315cc injectors/vortech fmu/255lph fuel pump/safc/and wideband 02/(I oredered a fuel pressure guage as well but its not in yet:(.So i set safc to all zero throughout the rpm range figuring id still be rich, well I accelerate half throttle and WB starts reading between 10.0 and 10.9 at HALF throttle it gets to about 4000 rpms and falls completey on its face bogging so i correct the fuel trim just a tad to lean out especially around 4000 and up and fuly got on it and it seemed to pull worse then partial throttle but i only messed with leaning out only a few dagress till I talked on here and asked if someone else has this setup and how much i can lean on the safc before I start advancing timing too much, but theres one more concern, each time i boosted I only hit 5ish psi?is that because its bogging out?I hope I dont have to save up for a sfmu instead of fmu so can my setup save this bogging rich madness?oh and i was thinkin aint I supposed to do the stock fuel pressure regulator mod where you cut off the nipple on the end since mines a 95?please rescue me so i dont have to go back to my old setup at 5 psi

Yeah, too rich. As you should know by now, the safc doesn't allow to change fuel settings under boost in our cars and to start off, you are running stock idle fuel pressure on 50% larger than stock injectors. It's not a particularly good combination as you're finding out. Honestly I'd say you're better off running 5-7psi on stock injectors until you get an sfmu setup. I'd also say sell the safc to help fund the sfmu.

From my experience, my car was leaning out past 7psi. Not sure what you mean by a 10-1 or 8-1 spring? Assuming you mean disc for your fmu and that you currently have a 12:1 disc, then it definitely wouldn't hurt the matter.

Well my opinio would be to ditch the fmu and safc and get the AEM f/ic..
way better with bigger injectors and not that hard to tune as sfmu.

my 2 cents!

Or you have a boost leak.

BTW, IDK what you are 'tuning' but you cannot tune with an safc under boost in our cars. Your best bet is to leave it as is for now until you get something that actually has some proven tunability on our cars, then put the larger injectors back in.

ok so this isthe setup at the moment,so far im running stock injectors @7.5 psi and ive got 5k-7k rpms around 11.4 and richens up to about 11.0 by 6600 rpm @ WOT, but from 3k-4k im runiing 12.4 afr WOT and cant richen those rpms anymore with safc but 12.4 doesnt seem too lean since its at such a low throttle rpm im hoping.ive researched the safc and everyone says that "leaning" on safc increases timing so the most i leaned was around -13 at 6k -7k so doesthis sound like a safe tune for you fellows since i didnt lean very much but did add alot of fuel trim in the lower rpms so whats your thoughts?
