Well i finaly got my wheels, and not off of the net as previously thought. Instead i went to L&M in York,PA and got some. I got all 4 Motegi Racing FF7 rims for $400. Getting some off brand tires, they are called hanking i think? some chinese brand. They have the same tread pattern as the cooper zeons so i decided to give them a try. They are also half the price!

The Z rating is just a speed rating. How often do you drive at 149mph sustained? That's all the Z is. A better judge is the tread wear. That will give you a better idea whether the tire is soft or hard.

The lower the tread wear #, the softer the tire. Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S-03s have a tread wear of 220. I've got Falken Azeni FK-542s and they have a tread wear rating of 280. The Nankang NS-II has a tread wear of 340. Using that, I would guess that the Potenza's offer the most grip since it has the lower tread wear rating.

Just a little FYI. I'm not trying to jump your case. Sorry for the derail as well. I'm gonna go crawl back under my rock now.

the temp rating helps give an idea too, the higher the temp rating *usually* means stickier (not always) the speed rating is more sidewall stiffness and the ability to not deform under high speed loads

But, gold is better but exspensive. I rather stay away from silver too much chrome for me.

Nice white, DSM

Since your car is grey, Black and sliver would look cool, too..

Treadwear ratings begin with base 100 being the lowest legal limit. A tire with 300 treadwear will last 3 times as long as a 100 rating.

The speed rating is simply how fast a speed can be maintained safely.

Lastly, the temperature rating is the tires ability to dissipate heat.

So, with all that said..where the hell are his pics?!?

Sorry bout the pics guys. I wanted to get my calipers painted first. So here they are:

I live in East Earl. 1 mile from shady maple for those of you who know where that is! Tested the wheels today, they seem pretty good, gripped well too!

What size tires are those?

Wheels look great on your car btw. Beats the old set 10 to 1.

Not bad, but I would get some beefier tires to make the stance look meaner. Just stick with those until they go out though, lol.

Very, much better are those one piece or two piece wheels. Go with Kumho's with your wheels, many folks here relie on them and kumho treads last longer than most. But stay clear from Yokohoma's there too noisey, I have two on front of my got cheap till I get my new kumho's $45 each from a local shop, I trust.

I hardly understood a word of that.

Noisy? Lol, wtf.

I'm riding on a pretty penny of Yokohomas and they've never let me down. They're probably the best tires I've ever owned.

And I doubt he's going to change out some perfectly good tires with tread just because you recommended Kumho.
