First of all a friend of mine who has a talon purchased some blitz skirts for his car. Once I got to his house I noticed a small crack in the lower portion of the skirt.
Since they are fiberglass he figured they could be fixed as no material is missing just a crack.
Now my question is how do we go about repairing this. I assume the skirts have been primed already(they are flat black) so do we need to sand off the primer in that area or can we just lay new fiberglass over that crack? Anything else need to be done or anything else I should know ? tips or tricks are appreciated.

Next question is how do I go about re attaching a stock bumper back together.
Scenario, I have a stock talon bumper, I decide to cut 1 inch (don't ask) out of the middle all the way down the front of the bumper shortening the entire width of the bumper by 1 inch.
Now how do I go back and now seal the bumper back together.
I'm told its not made of fiberglass and whatever it is made of fiberglass wont stick to or something?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

it depends on how big the crack is . if its big and deep go over it with some fiberglass reinforced filler. if its just a small crack polyester glaazing putty will be fine .

to put back on the front bumper u will have to cut little strips of metal and rivet them in to each side of the bumper (metal to the back . you should do at least 8 of them . when its all together and lined up put aluminum tape over the seam in front and plastic weld the back . then sand the front till its a little low down the seam . then get some flexible plastic filler and finish it off

Wow your the man!

For the side skirts, the crack goes about a 1" 1/2 up from the bottom of the skirt. Like I said, no material is missing but its not the smallest.
I'll take some pics soon and see what you think.

grind the crack down to form like a V and then fill the crack and you will be okay
