#97509, "Help installing aftermarket steering wheel"

Got rid of the stock wheel and tried installing
a aftermarket one.

Ok so I started off by removing the stock wheel,
then I removed the clock spring. (dont know if I should have or not but the hub adapter plastic cover thing wouldn't go over it with the clock spring there.
After this I cut the adapter to what I think was the horn wire. (green one)
Soldered this to another long wire going up into the hub and connecting to the back of the horn button.

bolted everything down and would you know it low and behold the horn wont work.

Not to mention I ended up braking a few of the clips on the cover around the steering columns so now I have to get a new one of those.

Anyway if anyone has any insight on this its greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
