The upper window trim on the driver/passenger windows on my car are really starting to piss me off with the usual metal showing through them, so I am going to take them off, sand them down and paint them black. Problem is I can not figure out how to get the damn things off! Can someone PLEASE tell me how to do this so that I can make my car look a bajillion times better. It's embarassing having your window trim almost look like it is chromed like that haha. Thanks fellas I appreciate it!

Open your door, pull out the "gasket" like thing that goes all around the door frame. Then proceed to unscrew the...screws... that hold the trim in place. Voila, you are done...now the bottom piece... thats a whole other animal...
P.S. May i suggest just buying new ones from a junk yard? It ran me 40 for all 4 pieces. It DOES make your car look 100X more bettah!

Are you kidding me? I feel retarded right now, but then again I was pretty pissed off at the time and just looking for something to do to my car haha. I appreciate the help. I was actually thinking about buying new ones but I figure I might as well try this first to see how they turn out... don't really have much to lose so I might as well. I have seen pictures of one that people have painted and they didn't turn out all that bad. I'm just gonna sand all of the black off, then prime it, spray it and clear it. If it looks bad in the end, OH WELL lol.

I just went out and tried to take it off and I can't find any damn bolts holding the thing into place. I took off the rubber molding "tan" on my car and can't find any bolts that would be holding the outer black molding in. The molding I'm talkinga bout is the VERY top one that has the metal on the inside of it. Can someone please help me out! Thank you!

Yes, I know very well which molding you are talking about. Make sure your door is ALL THE WAY open. Scan the molding from END to END meticulusly, some of the bolts are almost "hidden". And also if I am not mistaken, you probably need to slide it one way or another slightly.
P.S. check the farstest end of the molding, the one near the side mirror for bolts. I know you can figure it out, I did..in like 5 mins, keep trying bro.

Alright I'll go try again, but in 5 minutes if I dont figure out how to do it... I'm gonna be looking like that dude in your avatar hahahaha
EDIT: WOOHOO I got it off. I didn't know you had to take off the black molding to get to the screws. I feel like an idiot now lol. Thanks for the help!
