Is paint thinner or carb cleaner a good choice for removing spary paint overspray from the exterior of my car? (Suggested by a friend) I don't want to mess up my paint but I got some black overspray on it. If not what would you suggest?
The amount of overspray is pretty small, its just peppered along the whole length of the door from the window trim down about 6 inches. Also, the car had alot of dust on it from sitting in the garage for several weeks.

Thanks... I was really hoping for a simplier solution. Oh well, I got the mothers kit.
Do I have to wax after I use the clay bar or can I just whipe off the excess detailer and be done? I hate waxing and I'm in an apartment complex so I'd have to drive to some carwash to do it...
Anyway thanks for the fast reply

Paint thinner will not hurt your car if it has clear coat on it.

lol What wax? I've had the car since dec 2001 and last night was the first time I've waxed it.
Yea, I did the clay bar shit. It took FOREVER and I still didn't get off every spec. After working on the oversprayed portions I quickly went over the whole car with the bar and used nearly the entire bottle of spray that came in the kit. Then I waxed it. Looks pretty good. Next time (in a few weeks) I'll do alot better job. I was in a hurry and also had to do all this at a carwash b/c I live in an apartment complex with no spickets or anything like that...
