#96088, "Power window/Lock Question."

For the 2g's with the power window/lock option, if the switches are plugged into the driver side, does the passenger side also need to be plugged into the harness for everything to operate? For some reason that I never noticed, I was working making some money on the side today for some guy with a 2gnt, and with just the driver side plugged in, the windows wouldnt go up or down, but then when i plugged the other side in (passenger side), everything worked.

Is every car like that, or is his just F'D up?

Yes, they are wired together. If the switch is out on the passenger side they will not work from the driver side.

It has to be that way in order to give the driver the ability to control all locks and windows from the main switch while also allowing the passengers their control options too.

the reason y they dont' work is because they are hooked up to the same realay behind the radio and if all wires aren't conected then the realay wont do anything.
