I've heard of this b4. Sounds ghetto as hell, but hey, I've painted some shit, so I guess I can't talk. Well, I have been wanting some proof that this actually looks good, and nobody will prove me wrong as to saying I doubt it would come out right. Anyone who did this, post pics please, I am curious to see if it does turn out nicely.

I may be cheap, but never ghetto. I've done my share of painting on plastic and vinyl pieces. I've also colored the fabric of the seats. You would use the same stuff on carpet (if you dared to). I would really not want to rip out my carpet and color it. You might as well buy new carpet, if you're going to all that trouble. Here are pics of the paint/dye. Its in chronological order (pics at the bottom are newest).
