If you have a turbo style spoiler that you put on your 2gnt, could you please post a some-what close pic of where its mounted on your hatch. I need to see like how far back it sits to the edge of the hatch. I left my holes from my GTR spoiler in the hatch and now I think the ones are too far back and I wont be able to mount the turbo spoiler I am going to buy Friday without that whole either showing or needing to be filled. Please post what you have or possibly take me a quick pic, I would GREATLY appreciate the pics asap.

I love 2gnt emoji

TIA!!!

I'll take this opportunity to remark that the turbo spoiler looks absolutely godawful on a kitted car, your car is sexy as hell without any spoiler at all, and that putting a turbo spoiler on it will totally completely fucking wreck it.

The turbo spoiler is nicer then most other wings, true, but I still prefer the low 3 piece spoiler or the 97-98 wing.... IF you have to have one at all.

No spoiler is the best, hands down.

the blue one is farther back than the black one. i'm guessing the black is a stock mounted one? or are they both installed by the owners? just wondering how they do it at the factory...

Thank you for the pictures guys, it looks like it will end up working out for me since the holes from my old GTR wing were in the spot from my old stock 3 pc spoiler.

I think the turbo wing will look good on my car, therefor, I am getting one despite some people opinions in which I didnt even ask for.

Thanks for all the help though guys, greatly appreciated!

Bonus opinions FTW!

I have to agree with Bumpin. I think the wingless look is where it's at these days. Mike, you should at least set the wing in place and snap some new pics. Take about three shots from different angles around the car without the wing, then set the wing in place and take pictures from the same angles. Compare and see what you think then.

Mike, it will look absolutely RETARDED on a widebody and you know it. Dont do it!

Turbo wing on OEM 2G = SEX
Turbo wing on Kitted 2G = PUKE
Turbo wing on Widebody 2G = Would rather rub dog shit on my face.

Ok from owning one and installing, they're not hard to line up, the points pretty much line themselves up with the rear window and it sits pretty far forward. Only downfall is facory rear fenders are wide, and the wing is already narrow for the car, the widebody may make it look like a mini wing. Not sure how wide the quwhees kit is in the rear

ven tho you've already made up your mind Mike, I wanted to offer my $.02 too. Recently I took off my turbo style spoiler to put the gaskets on since the wonderful body shop that painted Kandy never put them on. emoji After I took it off, I just kinda stood there and starred at the car wingless. Honestly, I not one for having a wingless 2gnt. I like the look on other peoples cars, but I also love the wing. As much as I dont think I would have liked wingless, I kinda liked it.

If I could go back and have things done a whole other way, I might. I like my own cars to have the wing and like viewing others without the wing., if that makes sense. (not really, eh?)

Place the wing where YOU like it. When I was asked where I wanted mine on Kandy, I moved it around and made the descion based on how I liked it. It's about where the stock one is, maybe a little more towards the back, but still, I like it and I could care less what others think.

I personally think that since the whole kit has your own custom flair to it now, you should make your own. Maybe a lipwing that kind of spills onto the sides. Mold that bish and you'd be golden.

I put mine on based on personal preferance, mines is atleast 2 inches closer to the tail lights than the factory one but thats where i liked it. Whatever you do mike its not gonna matter. You will mostlikely change it around after a while anyway. But i say go for it. Im thinking of painting my car a darker hue of blue now, not sure though if i wanna go through all that again. anyhow good luck

the blue eclipse earlier posted is off on the spoiler location. it's not supposed to touch the sides of the trunk. when i mounted mine it had about 1/2" on either side.

edit: ah didnt see eclipse_gs_1512 clarify it already
